Who We Are
Grace International School, located in Chiangmai, provides education for children of Christian workers involved in ministries in Southeast Asia and beyond. These include church planting, Bible translation, community work, anti-trafficking, student ministry, business as mission, medical relief and more. GIS makes it possible for these families to serve in over 24 countries reaching out to millions of people across Asia.
The staff at GIS is a dedicated team committed to developing students into young people with Christlike character and values who will seek to transform the world around them.
To keep tuition costs affordable for Christian workers, non-Thai staff do not receive a salary and serve at Grace by raising their own financial support.
After being on the same property for 15 years, legal action was levied against the school to vacate and turn over the property that was once part of a former sports club. This came as a shock as GIS truly believed the property was rightfully and legally ours. Though we were hopeful, in December 2015 the Supreme Court rejected our appeal which resulted in our loss of ownership of the buildings and property.
GIS has purchased land to build a new campus but we urgently need funds to build a school on the land.
GIS staff has an unwavering trust in God and we stand firm in our calling to serve Christian workers’ families.
How You Can Help
Please SAVE OUR SCHOOL. Please join in this urgent need to help raise 3 million U.S. dollars by June 30th 2016.
Currently GIS has funds to rent out a temporary place for two years while the new school is being built. Our financial need is urgent as we don’t want to interrupt the daily education of the students. GIS needs your help now to keep 550 students and their families on the mission field. Otherwise, without a school, thousands of people and ministries will be affected.
Help Us Build the School!!
The S.O.S. GRACE campaign needs to raise 3 million dollars in order to complete phase 1 of building the fundamental structure for the Secondary School. Currently GIS has the funds to rent out a temporary place for two years while the new school is being built. Our financial need is urgent, as we want to keep the student’s education uninterrupted.
